About Me
I first got interested in building websites back in high school, experimenting with GeoCities and Angelfire. After graduating, I served in the U.S. Army, which took my life in a different direction for a while and eventually led me into culinary school, restaurant work, and management. Over the years, though, I kept finding myself drawn to the technology side of the job-building Excel tools for food costing, working with POS and inventory systems, creating menus and marketing materials, and looking for ways software could make day-to-day operations easier.
That interest eventually brought me back to programming and digital work full time. Today I manage digital publishing and marketing projects for a trade magazine, where I work with HTML/CSS, advertising platforms, reporting tools, Python, and AI-assisted workflows. I am also pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Ball State University, with coursework in software development, data analytics, machine learning, AI, and full-stack web development. I am now focused on continuing that transition into software and IT, especially work involving automation, data, and practical problem solving.
